Social Justice SOS: 16 Social Justice Leaders Respond to the 2016 Election

15.00

Three days after the 2016 presidential election, AAPF hosted an urgent conversation, Social Justice SOS: What We Need to Know About What Happened, What's Coming, and Why We Must Join Together Against Hate, in an attempt to try and make sense of a surprising and distressing election outcome, and to chart a way forward.

Featuring an added foreword by Representative Keith Ellison and interviews with a renowned group of leading scholars, artists and activists, this report illuminates ideas and strategies that are now proving central and demonstrates the kind of intersectional, cross-issue thinking that is coming to define resistance to the Trump administration.

Interviews conducted by Kimberle Crenshaw
Edited by Kimberle Crenshaw, Julia Sharpe-Levine & Janine Jackson
Featuring interviews with Asli Bali, Mary Frances Berry, Cherell Brown, Devon Carbado, Sumi Cho, Zillah Eisenstein, Eve Ensler, Alicia Garza, Dallas Goldtooth, Ian Haney-Lopez, Heidi Hartmann, Robin Kelley, Hiroshi Motomura, Dennis Parker, Ezra Young and Tim Wise
